Recently, the Xining Municipal Science and Technology Bureau organized experts to conduct acceptance checks and evaluate the results of a research project on deoxycholic acid production processes undertaken by Qinghai Xiado Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
Deoxycholic acid has a wide range of applications in the medical and cosmetics fields. As a safe and effective emulsifier in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, it possesses antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. In dermatological surgery, it can be used to treat conditions caused by excessive secretion from sebaceous glands. Qinghai Xiado Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd is the only bile acid raw material production base certified by the State Food and Drug Administration, giving it unique advantages in producing bile acid bulk drugs. The project fully utilizes local agricultural resources with cattle and sheep by-product bile as raw materials; through comparative research on chemical synthesis methods, bioenzymatic fermentation methods, enzymatic methods etc; improve extraction routes; compare single solvents like diethyl ether，petroleum ether，chloroform with composite solvent selection； reduce special reagent choices； develop a new combined preparation process for extracting both cholanic acids compounds including deoxycholic acids . This new process has features such as simple operation steps compared to traditional ones - fewer intermediate products produced during manufacturing resulting higher product purity levels achieved while being environmentally friendly too! It enables joint production preparation between cholanic & its derivative compound (deoxy) achieving over 98% content rate within final output making this technology highly efficient when considering industrial scale up potential benefits associated herein.
